Design and build, end to end
Websites and software people actually enjoy using, sitting on engineering that holds up. AI is part of how we build, which is why it takes weeks rather than quarters.
Stillwater Technology Group
A small design and engineering team in the Flathead Valley, built on a decade of experience. We make websites, software, and automation tools for businesses, and we train your team to work well with AI.
What we do
Four things we do well, and a straight answer on whether you need them.
Websites and software people actually enjoy using, sitting on engineering that holds up. AI is part of how we build, which is why it takes weeks rather than quarters.
Quotes, scheduling, follow-ups, the reporting nobody wants to do. Tools built around how your business already runs, not around how the software wishes you ran it.
Hands-on, with the people who'll actually use it. Your team comes out knowing what to ask for, what to trust, and how to get real work out of AI every day.
Most projects carry on as a retainer. We write and hold the code, so the people fixing and extending it are the ones who built it. Software that nobody maintains is just software that has not broken yet.
Selected work
Not concept work, and not a pitch deck. Every one of these businesses relies on software and automation tools we built, the kind people log into on a Monday morning and depend on to get through the week. Different industries, one standard: quick, clear, and dependable when nobody is watching.

Our own product
Our own personal finance app. A clear, private place to see where you actually stand, and where we work out how software ought to treat the people using it.
Every account, asset, and debt in one running total, updated as your real life changes, not once a quarter.
Envelopes that flex with an irregular income instead of breaking the first month you go off plan.
Set the target, watch the gap shrink. Progress is the point, so it's what sits front and center.
No ad tech, no selling your transactions. Export everything or walk away whenever you like.
How we work
Before anyone says the word 'model', we sit with how the work actually moves through your business: who touches what, where it stalls, and what it costs you when it does.
Two or three places worth automating, what each is worth, and what it takes to get there. Ordered so the highest-value work goes first.
Short cycles, real deployments, no six-month reveal. You use the thing while it's being built, and we adjust to what you learn rather than to what we guessed.
Training isn't a PDF handed over at the end. The people who'll actually use this are in it with us during the build, so by launch it's already familiar. Your team runs the day to day, and we look after what sits underneath it.
Most projects carry on as a retainer. We write and hold the code, so fixes, updates and the next round of changes go through people who already know how the thing is built rather than someone reading it cold.
The name
Still water runs calm. That's how working with us should feel.
Serious engineering underneath, and nothing on the surface for you to worry about. You should be able to hand something over and trust that it is handled.
Who we are
Designers and engineers who stay close to the work. You talk to the people writing the code, not to an account layer sitting in front of them, and we take on what we can do properly.
Where we are
Flathead County, between the lake and Glacier. Close enough to sit down together when something is easier worked through in person, and set up to work with teams a few time zones out.
How we explain things
No jargon tax. If we can't explain what something does and why it's worth the money, we haven't thought it through properly yet. That's ours to fix, not yours.
Get in touch
The first conversation is free and genuinely useful. Worst case, you come away with a clear picture of what is worth building first, whether or not you end up working with us.
